Use
In this IMG activity, you activate (or deactivate) the enhancements for service parts management (SPM) in the ERP system.
Requirements
Before enabling the enhancements for SPM in the ERP system, you should be aware of the preconditions for the system landscape and the limitations. For more information, contact your SAP consultant.
Standard settings
The enhancements for SPM are not active in the standard system.
Activities
If you want to use the SPM functions, you must activate these enhancements for SPM.
Note that after you have created business documents, such as sales orders, deliveries, or invoices, you cannot simply deactivate the enhancements for SPM: Once you deactivate the enhancements for SPM, you cannot complete the processing of these documents.
If you have to deactivate the enhancements for SPM, make sure that none of the business documents are still in process in any of the SPM systems.
