Use

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used within Third-Party Order Processing (TPOP) as part of the Service Parts Management (SPM) solution. In this process, a purchase order is created from a sales order in CRM. This BAdI enables you to modify the mapping of the CRM sales order data to the purchase order data.

Requirements

Standard settings

This BAdI is not activated in the standard configuration. Third-Party Order Processing does not require this BAdI to be implemented. This BAdI allows for multiple implementations. It is not filter-dependent.

Activities

Example

You may wish to influence the standard mapping of data from the CRM sales order to SAP R/3 purchase orders. You can, for example:

  • Predefine a special order type to be used for third-party purchase orders
  • Predefine a specific account assignment category for third-party purchase orders
  • Transfer header texts from the sales order to the purchase order (not supported in the standard delivery)
  • Change the delivery tolerances, for example, impose stricter delivery tolerances on your external suppliers than the customer would originally accept
