In this menu option, you define the rules for maintaining the configuration view. These rules should be the same as those previously defined for the Output, Logistics Information System, and Object Information displays. The configuration view maintenance transaction consists of five fields:

  • Print. When you enter a value in this field, R/3 uses it as a filter object at execution time. R/3 uses this entry to find all the organizational areas that include this characteristic value. Only the organizational areas used by the characteristic class that include this value are included in the statistical calculations.
  • SD. When you enter a value in this field, R/3 uses it as a filter object at execution time. R/3 uses this entry to find all the organizational areas that include this characteristic value. Only the organizational areas used by the characteristic class that include this value are included in the statistical calculations.
  • PM. When you enter a value in this field, R/3 uses it as a filter object at execution time. R/3 uses this entry to find all the organizational areas that include this characteristic value. Only the organizational areas used by the characteristic class that include this value are included in the statistical calculations.
  • Object. When you enter a value in this field, R/3 uses it as a filter object at execution time. R/3 uses this entry to find all the organizational areas that include this characteristic value. Only the organizational areas used by the characteristic class that include this value are displayed on the view.
  • MLM. During the maintenance level management process, you can include characteristic values for software materials in the selection profile. However, characteristics can be used to match against the characteristic values specified in the selection profile only if the values entered in the organizational areas used by the characteristic class include the value entered in this field.

Requirements

Before an organizational area can be used in this customizing transaction, you have to define it in Cross-application components.
