In this step, you define your company's enforced price protection period. The period is your company's policy on price protection, and it is defined by sales organization. When you use this feature, the customers in the relevant sales organization can receive a committed price for a product or a set of products for the specified time period. However, if a contractually enforced price protection method exists, IS-SW overwrites the price protection period established here with the period in the contract.
The price protection period consists of two fields:
The "price protection period." This is the length of time, according to the contract, that the customer's price is protected. The type of period is determined by the grouping entered in the next field. You can enter any number that fits this three digit domain.
The "price protection period unit." This identifies the time grouping of the price protection period entered in the previous field. You can enter days, weeks, months, or years.
Actions
Depending on the price protection period for each sales organization, enter the price protection period and the period time unit in each line. If no price protection policy exists for the sales organization, leave the two fields empty.
