In this IMG activity, you assign validation rules defined in the previous steps as a default to a transaction code.

Then for a staging record with that transaction code, all validations grouped under the validation rule will be performed by the system.

It will be used only when DRM profile does not contain any validation rule for the transaction code.

Example

Assign validation rule 0001 to transaction code MSST (Resale at MS - Normal).

Then all the validations grouped under this rule 0001 will be performed during inbound processing as well as when you try to release the staging record.

You can assign more than one validation rule to one transaction code. Validations under all of the rules assigned will be performed by the system.
