In this IMG activiy you define the Simple Rules for the Samples transactions.
Simple Rules are based upon a communication structure and the checks could be configured based on the values in this communication structure. In addition you can also select the records from Database tables and base the simple rules definition on these Records.
Three Calculation types supported for the Simple Rules .- SELECT, PERCENTAGE and Blank.
SELECT : Indicates a data retrival from a database table and you have to specify the name of the table in the Complex Rule Definition. You may do the Rules checking based upon the Data retrived from the Database.
PERCENTAGE : A mathematical percentage calculation exist between two fields of the communication structure and the out put of the Rule will be true or false .
BLANK : There is a condition check in the communication structure and the output will be a true or false.
Example
You define a Rule according to which Sample Claims for Material 'A' only shall be valid.
You may define the Simple Rule as follows:

Standard settings
In the Standard Setup following Simple Rules are defined:
SMSRA11 : Line Item Amount Range for amount Less than 200 USD
SMSRA21 : Line Item Amount Range for amount Less than 500 USD
SMSRA31 : Line Item Amount Range for amount Less than 1000 USD
SMSRF11 : Feed Amount Range for amount Less than 500 USD
SMSRF21 : Feed Amount Range for amount Less than 1200 USD
SMSRF31 : Feed Amount Range for amount Less than 2000 USD
SMSRQ11 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity Less than 2000
SMSRQ12 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity
SMSRQ21 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity
SMSRQ22 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity
SMSRQ31 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity
SMSRQ32 : Quantity Simple Rule for quantity
Recommendation
Do not modify the standard Samples Rules. Define your own Rules if you need additional Rules.
