In this IMG activity, you maintain default DRM profile for manufacturer/suppliers with the corresponding customers belonging to the same sales area. This removes the need to maintain a profile for each and every customer in a sales area.

For every DRM relevant transaction, the system first determines the applicable manufacturer/supplier from the material master. It then finds out the Customer defined in the manufacturer's Vendor Master. If there is no DRM profile attached to this customer for the relevant sales area, the system uses the default DRM profile defined for the sales area. If the system still does not find a default profile for the sales area, it does not process the transactions.
