This IMG activity allows you to create RFC destinations (of type G # HTTP Connection to External Server) using the System Landscape Directory (SLD) to connect to various Information Worker servers.

Note: RFC destinations can also be created through the IMG activity 'Maintain RFC Destinations', which opens transaction /nsm59 and provides further configurations settings.

Activities

Click on the activity.

  1. In the RFC Destination field, enter the name of the RFC destination and click Create. (Click Change to modify the settings for an RFC destination).
  2. In the Description field that now appears, enter a description for the RFC destination.
  3. In the Target Server field, select the server that the RFC should point to.
  4. Save your entries.

Manually Entering RFC Details in the SLD

When a new RFC destination is created, its details are saved in the SAP system and also in the SLD. If the details cannot be saved in the SLD, the error message, "Unable to write details in the SLD" will be displayed. To manually write the RFC details:

  • Click on the SLD Settings menu and choose Write RFC Details to SLD.
