Use

In this step, you define the relevant target systems by specifying the technical parameters of the corresponding RFC destinations. Here, you have to define HTTP connections to an external server.

Requirements

Standard settings

There is no standard setup.

Activities

For each target system, take the following steps:

  1. Choose Create.
  2. In the RFC Destination field, enter the destination.
  3. In the Connection Type field, select the connection type G (HTTP Connection to External Server) from the dropdown box.
  4. On the Technical Settings tab, enter the target host, service number, and path prefix.

The path prefix depends on the activity:

    • Deploy Application Metadata and Deploy Application UI
    • In this case, both activities use the same logical port, so the same path prefix applies:
      Path prefix:
      /Notifier/DefaultConfiguration?style=document
    • Read Scheduler Settings
    • In this case, you must define two logical ports - one for each application (scenario):
Path prefix for Budget Monitoring: /ScheduleRVProcessing/ScheduleRVProcessingConfig?style=document
      Path prefix for Time Management:
      /TimeWSRSchedule/TimeWSRScheduleConfig?style=document
  5. On the Logon/Security tab

The settings here depend on the activity:

    • For Deploy Application Metdata and Deploy Application UI, select Basic Authentication
    • For Read Scheduler Settings, select No Logon and Send SAP Logon Ticket
  6. On the Special Options tab, no entries are required.
  7. Save your changes.
