Use
Here, you determine the behavior of each business application from a business point of view. There are predefined settings for each application which you can change.
Requirements
You have defined a default logical port to call the Web service.
Standard settings
Activities
To specify the settings for a business application:
- Under Dialog Structure, double-click Solutions and select Duet.
- Double-click Applications and select a business application.
- Double-click Application Behavior and specify the application settings.
The following are the settings for the key business applications that are supported:
Budget Monitoring
Settings Description
CLEAR AGE OF NOTIFICATION Book-keeping table entries older than the specified value (for example, 60 days) are deleted.
RULE VIOLATION ACTIVATION Activation time on start date as specified in the RULE VIOLATION START DATE field
RULE VIOLATION FREQUENCY Frequency of budget monitoring
RULE VIOLATION START DATE Start date of budget monitoring
RULE VIOLATION START TIME Budget monitoring starts to run after the specified time in this parameter has elapsed, starting from the current time. For example, if the current time is 04:12:00 and the specified time is 06:00:00, budget monitoring starts to run at 10:12:00. The input must be a string (that is, the format must be hhmmss).
Time Management
Settings Description
ARCHIVING Duration for archiving time records for an employee in the SAP system. You can select either DAY(s), WEEK(s) or MONTH(s) from the drop-down list. Employees cannot make changes in the recorded time when the archiving period expires. (Note that one WEEK is assumed to be seven days and one MONTH is assumed to be thirty days.)
PERIODICITY Frequency of white space recording (WSR) scheduler run
SUM Duration of display of working time summary in the task pane
WSR ACTIVATION TIME Activation time on the start date specified in WSR START DATE
WSR START DATE Start date for triggering WSR. The format to enter a value here is MMDDYYYY. (For example, if 10052008 is entered here, the scheduler will start on October 5, 2008.)
WSR START TIME WSR triggering starts to run after the time specified by this parameter has elapsed, starting from the current time. The format to enter a value here is HHMMSS. (For example, if the current time is 04:12:00 and the value entered here is 053000, WSR triggering starts to run at 09:42:00, ie. 04:12:00 plus 5hrs 30minutes.)
Team Management
Settings Description
COLLEAGUES SUBFOLDER Name of colleagues' subfolders displayed in Microsoft Outlook.
DEPTH Number of team management hierarchy levels for which data is displayed to the user
PLVAR Differentiates between scenarios in your organizational plan. Team management allows you to manage scenarios in parallel in various plan versions.
TEAMS SUBFOLDER Name of teams' subfolder displayed in the Microsoft Outlook.
Reporting Management
Setting Description
REPORT_MAX_SIZE Maximum size of the report (in kilobytes) to be displayed in the Microsoft Outlook client. If the report size exceeds the value specified here, the report is not generated.
REPORT_TIMEOUT Duration (in minutes) after which a report execution is stopped if it cannot be run. (For example, if 20 is entered here and a report execution encounters an error, it is attempted for a maximum of 20 minutes, after which it is stopped and the user is notified by an e-mail.)
