Use

In this Customizing activity, you define profiles for the Web-based user interface. This includes allocating the defined graphical elements to graphs or system elements, as well as configuring settings for the response and appearance of the Web-based planning board.

Requirements

You have configured the Customizing activityDefine Graphical Elements for Web-Based Planning Board.

Standard settings

Standard settings are provided.

Activities

  1. In the Maintain Profiles of the Web User Interface area, you create profiles as required. Assign colors and text formats to the profile (for example, to display table headings). You must have defined the colors and formats in the Customizing activity Define Graphical Elements for Web-Based Planning Board. Configure the additional settings (you can use the input help to do so).

For more information about the individual fields and their dependencies, see the F1 help.

  2. Under Maintain Scales, you can define various scales. This includes the width of a specific time unit in standard and compressed form on the chart, how often the text of the upper and lower timelines is to be repeated, and how both timelines are labeled.
  3. Under Bind Time Allocation Types and Bind Assignment Status Groups, you define the time allocation types and assignment status groups and specify which bar types, text formats, and text templates are to be used.

    Note:
When defining colors for bars, we strongly recommend that you use either pre-defined SAP colors or freely definable colors for all bars that are related to each other, for example, if you use colors to differentiate between selected and unselected bars. This is to make sure that the original color is restored once the bar is unselected again.

For assignments, you must define this binding at status group level. To do so, you group individual statuses together and then use the groups to assign bar types and text templates.

If an assignment belongs to multiple assignment status groups due to its status, the status group with the highest priority (1 being the highest possible priority) determines how the bars and text are to be displayed. To define a status group that is valid for all assignments, create a blank status group.

  4. Under Bind Demand Status Groups, you define demand status groups. To do so, you proceed as described for assignment status groups.

By implementing Business Add-In BAdI: Creation of Gantt View Variants, you can override the settings you make here to configure the appearance of assignment and demand bars.

  5. Under Link Types, you specify which bar types and text templates are used to display the various types of links between the different resource types.
  6. Under Functions, you specify which functions (buttons, dropdown boxes, context menus) are available in the Web-based planning board when a new user launches the application for the first time.

    Note:
Each user can activate and deactive the functions in the user settings independent of the settings you make here.
If neither user settings nor entries in this Customizing table exist, the toolbar and table buttons that were available in the previous SAP Multiresource Scheduling release are activated. This only applies if you upgraded from SAP Multiresource Scheduling 8.0 to SAP Multiresource Scheduling 9.0.

For more information, see the F1 help for the individual fields.

  7. Under Bind Collision Types, you configure the appearance of the bars that are used to display different types of collisions. To do so, you must have defined collision types in Customizing under Set Up Scheduler Workplace --> Collision Settings.
  8. Under Edit Worklist Fields in Demand View, you specify which worklist fields are added as columns to the Gantt chart in the demand view.

By implementing Business Add-In Display of Additional Demand Fields you specify how these fields are filled.

  9. Under Define Demand Navigation, you define whether or not users are allowed to navigate to the underlying source of demand (PM/CS order or notification, PS network, etc.). If you select the Navigation checkbox for the respective demand type, the system opens the underlying source of demand in the appropriate transaction when the user clicks on the demand ID in the demand list.

    Note:
By allowing the navigation to PS networks, you automatically allow the navigation to RM Web requests.
