Use

In this IMG activity, you assign object types to the assignments in order to determine number ranges. The assignments are identified internally by means of a unique number. This number is used for internal purposes only and is not displayed on the user interface. In this activity, you specify the number range object from which this number is taken.

The object type should be one of the entries in table TBO00 and preferably one that is not already used by one of the other SAP applications installed. The default setting in Customizing is 'E1'.
