Use
In this Customizing activity, you define whether and how overlaps between times are displayed in the resource planning table as collisions. Each collision can be displayed graphically as a bar and/or alert in the resource planning table.
Requirements
You have completed one of the following Customizing activities, depending on the type of display you require:
- If you want to display the collision graphically as a bar, you have defined a graphic element for collisions for group MRSSPB in the Customizing settings for bar charts under Define Graphic Elements.
- If you want to display the collision as an alert, you have defined an alert type for collisions in Customizing for SAP Multiresource Scheduling under Set Up Scheduler Workplace -> Workplace Profiles -> Alert Profiles -> Define Alert Types.
Standard settings
The 'KO' element is provided as a standard graphic element for collisions and identifies them by means of a red bar in the resource planning table.
Activities
For each collision, enter the following data:
- Key and short description
- A combination of object types (assignment types, time-allocation types) that define the collision
- A priority if you specify several of the same combinations
Enter the following data depending on the type of display you require:
- Message class, message number, and alert type of the message that should be displayed in the event of a collision in the alert monitor
- Graphic element for displaying the collision in the resource planning board
If you do not make settings here, the system does not display collisions in the resource planning board.
Note:
If you want to display collisions that result from the overutilization of a resource, you must define a collision with key OVER in this Customizing activity and assign a graphical element to it. To activate the display of collisions that result from overutilization, you select the Overutilization Causes Collision checkbox in Customizing activity Configure Settings for Collisions.
Use the same key to customize the appearance of these collisions in the Web-based planning board. You do this in Customizing activity Define Profiles of the Web-Based User Interface (under Bind Collision Types).
