Use

You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to determine the potential availability of resources. The following two methods are provided:

  • DETERMINE_RESOURCES
    This method is used to determine the resources which are assigned to a resource planning node depending on the given qualification category. The qualification category has to be mapped to the HR qualification or a qualification profile of a resource from SAP Multiresource Scheduling.
    This method returns the resources depending on resource planning node and qualification category.
    For the pot scenario Planning Node, it will determine the number of resources assigned to the planning node.
    For the pot scenario Resource Capacity, it will return exactly one resource.
    Note
    The system uses a master data GUID as an abstraction for the capacity pot master data.
  • FILTER_RESOURCES
    This method is used to filter from the determined resources those individual resources which should not be taken into consideration for the potential capacity of a capacity pot. For instance, you can reserve these resources for emergency cases.
  • CLEAR_BUFFER
    If global buffers exist, this method is used to clear them. The buffers are used for processing in method DETERMINE_RESOURCES and FILTER_RESOURCES.
