Use

You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to determine the pot master data to be associated with the demand and its validity. The demands can originate from the PM or CRM system and the determination of the master data may vary based on the demand type and also on the pot scenario.

Note
The system uses a master data GUID as an abstraction for the capacity pot master data.

The BAdI provides the following method:

  • GET_POT_ID_FOR_ORDER
    This method is used to determine the pot master data to which the demand has to be associated with and also its validity. This method determines the master data GUID of the capacity pot.
    • For the Planning Node pot scenario, this method determines the master data GUID based on the organizational unit of the order operation.
    • For the pot scenario Planning Node + Qualificationof Resources, this method determines the master data GUID based on the order in combination with the requirements profile in SAP Multiresource Scheduling. The default implementation only supports MRS qualification profiles.
    • For the Resource pot scenario, this method determines the master data GUID based on the preferred technician from the order. During appointment booking, the preferred technician will be set.

Besides the master data attributes, this method returns data that are relevant for capacity deduction, for example begin and end time of the appointment.

You can also use this BAdI to map the priority of the demand with the capacity pot attributes to determine theCapacity Reserve that is required according to the order priority.
