Use

In this activity, you can specify how the system calculates a resource's travel route using the route midpoint. The midpoint is the geometric center of the polygon that is formed by all demand locations on the resource's travel route. The system needs this information to calculate the rough distance to a demand location and to estimate the time the resource needs to get there.

The system calculates the route per resource and day. This information is then used in the appointment booking process.

Note:
You only need to make settings in this activity if the system calculates travel times for appointments based on approximate (rough) travel times. Under Appointment BookingAppointment Booking at Resource LevelDetermine Travel Times for Appointments, you can check which travel time calculation method is used.

Activities

Select the checkbox to activate the midpoint calculation and make settings as required. Specify, for example, whether only the locations of the planned demands (= assignments) are taken into account or whether the system should also include the locations of unplanned demands when calculating the route midpoint.

For more information about the individual fields, see the field help (F1 help).
