Use
You use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to control the use of variants for master data objects in the various processes in the Recycling Administration (REA) component for the following aspects:
- User interfaces
- Declaration administration
- Condition determination
For each aspect, there is an interface definition available that you must implement if you want to use a customer-specific configuration. The interface definition, in which the transaction code is passed as the context, is instantiated via the following methods (the respective interface definitions contain a detailed description of the methods):
- Method GET_UI_MAPPER
You use this method to control the user interaction with respect to the use of variants in your processes. For more information, see the documentation for the reference type /J7L/IF_UI_MAPPER.
- Method GET_DECLARATION_MAPPER
You use this method to control the use of variants in declarations. For more information, see the documentation for the reference type /J7L/IF_DECLARATION_MAPPER.
- Method GET_CONDITION_MAPPER
You use this method to control the use of variants when creating conditions. For more information, see the documentation for the reference type /J7L/IF_CONDITION_MAPPER.
Requirements
You have activated the functions for using variants.
Standard settings
A fallback class is available for this Business Add-In. This implementation does not control the use of variants in processes but simply specifies that the system can use the variant as an additional key for master data objects in the REA component. If you intend to use this implementation, you must actively implement the use of variants in your own organizational processes.
Sample implementations are available for this Business Add-In, which you can use to configure your own implementation.
