In this IMG activity, you configure the role generator.

Activities

  • General settings
    • Set Change Indicator
      • If you want to set change indicators, enter 'X'. The changes are not made until the update report is next run. If you do not want to set change pointers, do not enter a value here. In this case, the roles are updated completely.
    • Log in the Workbench
      • If you want the log to be displayed in the workbench each time a role is changed, enter 'X' here. If you do not want a log to be displayed, do not enter a value here.
    • Status of the Object Relationships
      • Specify which statuses are to be evaluated for the evaluation paths in the role generator.
      Note: Do not change the values shipped by SAP.
    • Evaluation Depth
      • Specify which hierarchy levels in the organizational structures are to be evaluated for the evaluation paths in the role generator.
      Note: Do not change the values shipped by SAP.
    • Generate Authorization Profile Immediately
      • If you want profiles to be generated immediately after they have been changed, enter 'X' here. If you do not want changes to be made until the next update report is run, do not enter a value here.
    • Update Structure
      • If you want the structure below the relevant object to also be updated in the role generator when objects are activated, enter 'X' here.
  • Permitted Object Relationships

    Specify which object types are to be permitted in the role generator for a derived role when agents are assigned.

    You can use SAP Note 776451 to set up this system behavior also for standard user maintenance.

  • Recipient of the Change in Command WF

    Specify the agent who is to receive via workflow 11200062 work items that provide information about the check results of the change in command. For this purpose, make entries in the Ty., Agent, and Priority fields.
