Use
In this IMG activity, you can define the number range intervals for material packages.
For each number range interval, you must enter the following:
- Number range number
- Number interval from which the numbers can be selected
- The type of number assignment (internal or external)

If you want the numbers to be assigned externally, you must enter the following interval and set the flag External:
Number range number NE
From number 1000000000 to number 9999999999
If you want the numbers to be assigned internally, you must enter the following interval:
Number range number NI
From number 0000000001 to number 0999999999

Further notes
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
