Use

In this IMG activity, you make entries for the locally available logical systems that are operated in a system as central or local production systems in the DFPS system landscape. Entries are also required for the systems for which automatic responses are required if the connection is interrupted.

Requirements

Activities

Usually only one operative client is operated in a physical system as a central or local system in the distributed DFPS system landscape.

In this case, a row containing the LOGSYS name of this production client must be created in this table as a key. The MAIN_LOCAL_SYST switch must be activated in this row (value: 'X').The CONN_AUTO_REACT switch can remain deactivated in this row (value: ' ').

An additional row is required for each system with which the local system communicates in the DFPS system landscape. The CONN_AUTO_REACT switch must be activated in these rows if automatic responses for transient transition are required in the event of communication problems with the relevant system.

The MAIN_LOCAL_SYST switch must be inactive in these rows (value: ' ').

Operating several systems in the same physical system is expedient only in test environments.

In this case, a row containing the relevant LOGSYS name as a key must be created for each production client that is operated locally.

The MAIN_LOCAL_SYST switch can be activated for one entry only. The CONN_AUTO_REACT switch should be inactive in all rows for the local DFPS systems, since no connection interruptions occur locally.

Example

LOGSYS    MAIN_LOCAL_SYS    CONN_AUTO_REACT

QLBCLNT104    X

QLBCLNT304

TD1CLNT100        X

XD1CLNT100

  • QLBCLNT104 - Central domestic system
    • Local main system
  • QLBCLNT304 - Decentralized system in same physical system
    • Another local system
    • No auto-reactions for this system
  • TD1CLNT100 - Decentralized system in a separate physical system
    • A remote system
    • Monitoring by means of auto-reactions
  • TD1CLNT100 - Decentralized system in a separate physical system
    • Another remote system
    • No monitoring by means of auto-reactions (because this would be too slow, for example)
