In the following steps, you can define your own tab pages (step 1) and also add your own tab pages to existing tabs (step 2).

Activities

  1. Infotype-specific tab pages in the detail area display data from an infotype. The data is displayed using the subscreen that was generated for the infotype via transaction PPCI. This method allows you to display any infotypes within the detail area of an object.

In step Define Your Own Tab Pages, you can create a new tab page in the customer naming space as follows:

    • In the field Tab Page, enter a tab page key beginning with the letter Z or Y.
    • In the field Description, enter the title of the tab page.
    • Flag the field Infotype-specific.
    • In the field Infotype, enter the number of the infotype.
  2. In step Add Your Own Tab Pages to an Existing Tab Page Group, make the following settings:
    • In the Scenario field, enter the Hierarchy Framework Scenario in which you want the tab page to be displayed.
    • In the field Object Type, enter the object type for which you want this tab page to be displayed. If you enter '*' in this field, this tab page is displayed for all object types unless you have specified another combination of Scenario, Object Type, Sequence elsewhere whereby the object type is not equal to '*'. If this combination matches the fields Scenario and Sequence, then this combination is displayed.
    • In the field Tab Page, enter the tab page key.
    • In the field Sequence, specify in which position you want the tab page to be displayed in the tab.
    • In the field Report Name and Screen, you can specify a subscreen which is then displayed in the tab page. If you want to display an infotype in the tab page, you do not need to make any other entries here because the subscreen is taken straight from the infotype.
    • In the field FM for Icons, you can specify a function module that places icons in the tab page title. However, this function is not relevant to our scenario.
    • In the field FM for Text, you can specify a function module that places the tab page title on the tab page. However, this function is not relevant to our scenario.
    • In the field Do Not Display or Exclude Tab Page, you can specify whether or not to hide or display the tab page.
