Use
In this IMG activity, you define variants for the nodes you have created previously in the IMG activity Define iPPE Node Types.
Variants enable you to document that a node can exist in several different variations. When the node data is maintained in the iPPE Workbench, the system automatically selects the variant belonging to that node.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard Customizing settings contain the following variant types:
Application - Material Planning Object:
Model (technical name S_DFMDL)
This model represents the variants of material planning object node types. There is no limit to the number of models for a material planning object.
In addition to this model, there are also variants from the product master data environment that are not relevant for the Defense Forces and Public Security project:
