In this IMG activity, you can define the layout and number of tab pages and also define which objects appear on the tab pages in the iPPE Workbench. The layout of the tab pages is based on the settings you make here as well as on the associated screens and is linked to the user profile and the individual iPPE objects.
User profiles are defined in the IMG activity Define iPPE User Profiles.

Requirements
Before you define tab pages and their layout, you must first of all create the required profiles and object types you want to use.
Standard settings
The system standard contains all the tab page definitions and settings required to use the iPPE Workbench.
Recommendation
We recommend you work with the standard settings.
Activities
- Screen - Definition
In this step, all iPPE screens and the associated programs are entered under one screen name. These screens are assigned to layouts and tab pages in the next steps. In some cases, two screen numbers may have been specified for the same data. This is because the screens are available in two different sizes. In the iPPE Workbench, you can use the Navigation View option to choose the smaller or larger screen.
- Tab Title - Definition
In this step, you can define which individual tab pages appear in the iPPE Workbench. A tab page is identified by a key, a description, and a tab title text, which also appears in the iPPE Workbench. The description is displayed in the iPPE Workbench as a quick info text in the tab pages. You can also define an icon for each tab page.
- Tab Title - Screen Assignment
In this step, you can group screens and tab pages. This is where you define which of the screens you defined in the step Screen - Definition appear on which of the tab pages you defined in the step Tab Title - Definition. If you are including more than one screen on a tab page, you can also specify which order they should appear in.
- Layout - Definition
In this step, you enter the keys and descriptions for the layout.
- Layout - Tab Title Assignment
In this step, you define which tab pages belong to which layout.
- Layout - Object Type Assignment
In this step, you define in which profile in the iPPE Workbench (for example, S_PPEALL) and for which object type (for example, S_CMPST Alternatives to Structure Nodes) the current layout should be activated.
- Layout - Tabstrip Assignment
In this step, you can specify that an extra set of tab pages should be displayed in a tab page. Altogether you can nest three sets of tab pages (tabstrips) together. This function is already being used for internal purposes. If you would like to be able to use this function, please contact your SAP consultant.
