Use
In this IMG activity, you define a country's organizational areas and its characteristics.
You also define whether an organizational area is a military or civilian zone, or whether it is a policing or aid organization.
Standard settings
The standard system already contains a range of pre-defined organizational areas and organizational area types that you can use.
You can also change the descriptions of these standard organizational areas and change their characteristics, if required.
Recommendation
We recommend that you work with the standard organizational areas.
Activities
Check that the standard organizational areas meet your requirements.
If necessary, create new organizational areas:
- Enter a two-digit country key in the Country field.
Note that different countries can have different organizational areas so organizational areas are, therefore, country-specific.
If you are creating new organizational areas for different countries, we recommend that you copy one of the standard areas and change the data accordingly. - In the Org.Area field, enter a key for the organizational area.
- In the NATO Code UIC field, enter the NATO code to display the UIC of a force element that corresponds to the organizational area.
- In the Code field, you can enter a code for the new organizational area.
This code can be up to four digits long and can comprise numbers, letters, or special characters. However, because this field is language-dependent, we recommend that you use letters. - In the Description field, enter a description for your new organizational area.
- In the OrgArTy field, use the input help to select the organizational area type into which you want to group your organizational area.
- By setting the Hide indicator, you can hide an organizational area in the standard transaction.
This function is useful if you do not want an organizational area to be used any more, but you are unable to delete it because it is still used in infotype 1950. A hidden organizational area can no longer be processed in the standard transactions.
Example
Country Org.Area Code Description OrgArTy Hide

DE 8 J Admin. of Justice Civilian <No Indicator Set>
