Use
In this IMG activity, you can configure and assign attributes to transactions in the Structures Workbench.
Requirements
You must have already created the transaction. To do this, you can copy an existing transaction and save it under a new name.
Standard settings
The standard system already contains a range of transactions that can be used for different functions.
Activities
In the transaction Transactions in the Structures Workbench , you can add all the transactions that you want to launch the Structures Workbench.
- The fields GUI Status and GUI Titles determine the appearance of the menu and application toolbar.
- The flag Personnel Data determines whether or not the user can access personnel data from within this transaction.
- The field Mode determines whether or not the user can switch into change mode within the transaction. The transaction itself is always called in display mode only. If you want the user to be able to switch to change mode, you must select Change mode. If you select Display mode, this also restricts all follow-on functions to display mode only.
In the step Usage Types, you determine which of the usage types defined in activity Define Usage Types are available in the selected transaction in the structure area. Before you can execute this step, you must select one of the transactions you entered previously.
- In the field Usage Type, select one of the usage types.
- In the field Mode, you define the maximum modes permitted for this usage type. For example, here you can define that a transaction that is generally open to changes is restricted to display mode only for usage type D (defense).
- In the field Standard Value, you define which of the usage types are displayed in the structure area when the transaction is called. The program checks that only one usage type has been defined as a standard value. This covers all functions such as delete, copy, and restore.
In the step Subcomponents, you define which information is displayed in the selected area of the transaction. Currently, the subcomponents Function Tree and Material List are available. The subcomponent Personnel List is not yet supported in Customizing. If you are assigning more than one subcomponent, you must define in the field Standard Value which subcomponents are called when a force element is called within this transaction.
If you have included the subcomponent Function Tree, you can define which components your function tree will display in the step Folder:
- DOC: Assigned Documents
- MPA: Logistical Requirements
- MPO: Material Categories
- PER: Personnel Categories (positions and persons)
- TAS: Tasks
In the field Position, you define the sequence in which the folders appear within the function tree.
If you delete a subcomponent, the program will ask you if you also want to delete the relevant folders.
In the step Layout Assignment, you define which tab pages are displayed for all object types that are available in the selected transaction. The tab page will then only be displayed if it is included here and if it is part of the standard profile for this object type. This standard profile is compiled in the IMG activity Define Tab Pages for iPPE Workbench. Under Layout -> Display Properties, you define which mode (display or change) should apply for the tab pages of a layout across transactions.
In the Context Menu step, you define which objects are to be available for the context menu (right mouse click) for each transaction.
In the step Evaluation Paths, you define which evaluation paths can be selected from within the objects Position and Person.
- The evaluation path DFPS_ALL displays the following links:
- Positions to tasks
- Positions to a job
- Positions to work centers
- Positions to qualifications
- Positions to cost centers
- Persons to tasks
- Persons to qualifications
- Persons to their user names
- The evaluation path DFPS_COS only displays the link from a position to cost center.
- The evaluation path DFPS_JOB only displays the links from a position to a job.
- The evaluation path DFPS_QUA only displays the links from positions and persons to qualifications.
- The evaluation path DFPS_TAS only shows links from positions and persons to tasks.
- The evaluation path DFPS_USR only shows links from persons to their user names.
- The evaluation path DFPS_WOR only shows links from positions and work centers.
In the field Standard Value, you can define which of the evaluation paths are displayed first when the transaction is called. The user can, however, also choose an evaluation path other than the standard one using the menus in the selected area.
If you set the flag Hide, you do not have to delete the evaluation path to ensure that the user cannot select it.
In the step Reporting, you define which reports are to be offered in the menu for each transaction.
In the step Object Subtypes, you define which object subtypes are available in a transaction.
