Use

In this step you define document content that will guide you through all subsequent IMG activities.

Document content is a container including:

  • Texts for clauses edited in Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) or in WordML, called elements and merged into regulation sets
  • Evaluation rules for clauses edited with the Formula Builder
  • Portable Document Format (PDF) forms
  • Document definitional information, such as document types, formats, and styles

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter an identifier and a description.
  3. Set the Doc. Workflow indicator to trigger a workflow-based document approval process in the selected content. In other words, when you release a document, an approval process is triggered.
  4. Set the Template Workflow indicator to start a workflow when an element is changed in a template.
  5. Save your entries.

To define a root variable, you must perform the activity Define Variables, choose Structure Variables in the dialog structure and eventually specify the root variable here. Variables are used throughout the document creation process to determine the structure of the document you want to build. The root variable is the first variable you have to define for the variable tree. The variable tree must contain all the variables needed to build a document. You can organize variables by grouping them into structures and nesting them in the variable tree. If not specified, SAP Document Builder will not display the dialog process to a document author.
