Use

In this menu item, you define the type of number assignment and the number range intervals for check-out documents.

Check-out is the validation of outgoing activities. It is performed when goods leave the brewery/plant premises.

You have to assign a unique number each time you create a check-out document. There are two types of number assignment:

  • Internal number assignment
The SAP System assigns the numbers in this case. The assigned number lies within the defined number range interval.
  • External number assignment
In this case, the user assigns the numbers. The assigned number also lies within the defined number range interval. The validation areas for external number assignment can be defined numerically and alphanumerically.

SAP recommendation

SAP recommends using internal number assignment.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

When executing a DSD process with handheld support, you have to maintain a number range interval for this number range object and then assign a usage for it.

When executing a DSD process without handheld support, you do not have to maintain a number range interval for this number range object.

Transport notes

The following options are available for transporting number range objects:

Choose Interval -> Transport in the initial screen.

Make sure all the intervals of the selected number range objects are deleted first in the target system, which means only the exported intervals exist after the import. The current number levels are imported with the value used for export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
