Use

In this IMG activity, you define the design types you require. In the design type, you specify:

  • Design category

    There are three categories of design:

    • Design: Standard design. You can generate only one order from this category. Standard designs are linked directly to the generated work order.
    • Template: You can generate any number of orders from this category. Design templates are not linked to the generated work orders.
    • As-built: This category documents how the design was actually realized, based on feedback from the field. You can compare an as-built design with the original compatible unit design document and associated work order to analyze the accuracy of the original costing estimate and, thus, the efficiency of your design process.
  • Internal and external number ranges
  • Status profile to restrict access to a specific group of users, for example (optional)
