Use
In this IMG activity, you define the type of number assignment you require for construction measures. Each construction measure must have a unique number.
You can define a number range for both external and internal number assignment for construction measures. For this, you have the following options:
- Internal number assignment
- Numbers are assigned by the SAP system.
- External number assignment
- The user assigns the numbers manually. To activate external number assignment, select Ext for the number range.
When numbers are assigned externally, numbers that are purely numerical are checked for validity against the number range.

Activities
Define the the relevant number range according to whether an internal or an external number assignment is made.
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Intervai -> Transport on the Maintain Number Range Intervals screen.
To begin with, all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system. After the import, only the intervals you exported are available. Number statuses are imported with their values at time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
