In this IMG activity you maintain the rules for each organizational unit and contract handling document type. Rule checks are carried out at various different times in contract handling:
- Contract handling document start - time 1
- Agreement start - time 2
- Agreement attribute - time 3
- Agreement end - time 4
- Contract handling document end - time 5
Requirements
The five rule times are predefined. You should not change them. If necessary, you may, however, change the names.
Standard settings
The standard delivery contains the rule checks used in standard contract handling.
Activities
Use the standard rule checks. Enter your own rule checks, if required. You must provide your own form routines if you define your own rule checks.
Further notes
You can call rule maintenance directly from the relevant times of a contract. You can then go straight to the detail screen as the time is already predefined and you do not have to make any decisions.
Example
If the selection of an agreement type is checked at time 1 (contract handling document start), the relevant form routine is called to carry out the check. The form routine accesses and checks the entries stored in rule maintenance. If the agreement here is not an agreement type that is permitted for the contract type, the entry is rejected.
