In this IMG activity you define the special ledger (SL) for contract handling. In the SL for contract handling, you collect contract-relevant accounting information that you require for contract settlement.

Activities
Create a SL for contract handling in the customer name range. When you create a SL, you can use the Implementation Guide for ledger maintenance (basic settings). The previously defined terms link you with ledger maintenance or creation:
- Ledger definition - Link all SL table groups
- Field transfer - Link with the table groups of the sender tables
- Transaction definition - Link with the data tables
Further notes
The SL is a subledger in which you collect data for elements of a coding block (such as loan payments).
