In this IMG activity you define special value date services for contract handling. A value date service allows you to directly influence the value date of your contract postings. For each newly created value date service you link selected contract movement types to value date processes.
Contract handling provides special function modules for defining value dates. These determine which posting transactions need to be modified and calculate the corresponding value date.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard delivery contains table entries for the value date service. You can use, copy and modify these or maintain your own entries.
Activities
Enter a numeric key with up to four digits and a name for the value date service. Assign associated contract movement types and the debit/credit indicator. Define the value date process.
Further notes
If you do not need any differentiated value dates you can ignore this IMG activity.
Example
The value date is used to date (value date) all payments that arrive more than five days after the due date to the last working day of the current month.
