In this IMG activity you define value date strategies. A value date strategy is replaced by a software module. The software module determines a value date for certain posting transactions (contract transaction types). To do this it uses the value date formula and the base value date. To determine the value date you must specify your special business requirements in this software module.
Requirements
The value date strategy is part of the value date service. The value date service only functions once you have performed all the IMG activities in the value date section.
Standard settings
Activities
Assign a numeric key with up to four digits. Assign the name to the function that you have provided to calculate the value date.
Further notes
You do not need to maintain this IMG activity if you do not require differentiated value dates.
Example
In accordance with a contractual agreement, repayments (due on the first of the month) are only posted on the 15th of the month if they are made after the third working day of the respective payment month.
