In this IMG you define periods that you generally use in contract handling. In contract handling, the description for corresponding periods is stored in a period split. When maintaining period splits you define the attribute descriptions for all the time units that you use. You must create a separate period split for each time unit.
Requirements
For date control contract handling uses the factory calendar. Therefore you must generate the following factory calendars (YD - every ten days, YM monthly, YQ quarterly, YH bi-annually, YY yearly).
Standard settings
The standard system contains frequently occurring period splits.
Activities
Use all the period splits in the standard table or only use those that you require. You can also create your own period splits.
Further notes
Example
Examples of corresponding periods are week, month, posting period, quarter and year. The period Day is interpreted as the key date.
