In this IMG activity you maintain the exception texts for settlement runs. As well as the exception text you must also assign the relevant exception handling programs. An exception handling program must be assigned, otherwise the settlement is cancelled if an exception occurs.

Standard settings
The standard delivery contains the exceptions for settlement runs.
Activities
Use the exceptions from the standard table. You should only make additional table entries if you want to use your own exception texts and exception handling programs. For your own exceptions, enter an alphanumeric key of up to four characters, the exception text, and the exception handling program.
Further notes
Exception handling allows you to trigger an exception at certain points in the settlement program. The settings you make in Customizing determine how the exception is handled. During contract settlement, agreements are settled that in turn call other agreements. This creates a call hierarchy. If an exception occurs in an agreement at one of the lower call levels, the Customizing settings determine the level at which processing is cancelled.
