Use

In this IMG activity, you define volatility clusters. You use volatility clusters to group together several volatility types into a single volatility type. You should note that volatility clusters are themselves volatility types - in other words, they are used for accessing volatilities (for rating purposes, for example) in exactly the same way as volatility types.

Requirements

• You have defined at least one market data area in the IMG activity Create Market Data Area.
• You have defined volatility types in the IMG activity Edit Volatility Types.

Standard settings

Activities

1. Specify a market data area.
2. Choose Continue.
3. If you have already created volatility clusters, the system will display a list of these. If you want to create a new volatility cluster, choose New Entries.
4. Enter an ID and long text, specify a suitable maximum age for the volatility cluster.
5. Select a volatility cluster, and switch to the Volatility Types in Cluster view by selecting the folder icon of the same name in the dialog structure on the left.
6. Select the volatility types that you want to assign to this volatility cluster.
7. Save your entries.
