Use

In this Customizing activity, you define parameters for scenario progressions.

Scenario progressions contain a chronological sequence of scenarios. In Risk Management you can use scenario progressions to analyze the effects of market price changes on the periodic risk positions of your bank.

Note:
You can also edit market data scenarios from the application menu at any time.

Requirements

You have created scenarios that you want to assign to your scenario progression, and you have defined the properties of these scenarios. You do so in the Customizing activities Create Scenarios and Edit Market Data Scenarios.

Standard settings

Activities

To create a scenario progression:

  1. Select your market data area.
  2. If you are in display mode, choose Display/Change so that you can enter data.
  3. Choose New Entries.
  4. Enter an ID for your scenario progression.
  5. Enter an appropriate text for the scenario progression.
  6. Save your entries.

To edit a scenario progression:

  1. Select your market data area.
  2. In the dialog structure choose Scenario Progressions.
  3. Select the scenario progression that you want to edit.
  4. In the dialog structure, click Grid Points of the Scenario Progression. Enter dates, and enter a scenario for each date.

  5. Note:

If you are in display mode, choose Display/Change so that you can enter and change data. If you want to enter data in a new row, choose New Entries. Otherwise, you can simply overwrite existing values.

  1. Save your entries.
