Use
In this Customizing activity you can create Bank Analyzer applications (software component FSAPPL). You assign currency exchange rates and interest or spread curves to an application, which are then made available via Outbound Service for data provision to other applications, such as data provision for ALM or Credit Portfolio Data Processing.
Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
- Create an application and make the following assignments:
- Long text
- Market data area
- Exchange rate type
- If you want to transfer currency exchange rates, under Main Currencies you assign the additional currencies whose exchange rates you want to transfer with the application.
- If you want to transfer interest curves or spread curves, make the following settings under Interest Curve Types:
Assign the desired interest curve type. You define interest curve types in the Customizing activity Edit Reference Interest Rates and Interest Curves.
Interest curves:
- You use the export type to control whether the system is to copy reference points from the interest curve type or to use the reference points of another reference interest curve for interpolation of the interest curve.
- If you want to copy the reference points of the interest curve type, you can use the interest rate format for export to choose between zero interest rates and money market and swap interest rates.
- If you want to copy the reference points from another reference interest curve, you can enter the specifications of the desired reference interest curve in the Referenced Market Data Area, Referenced Interest Curve Type, and Currency fields.
Spread curves
- Note that you cannot change the export type for spread curves because you must enter a reference curve for spread curves to enable the system to copy the reference points. Make the corresponding entries in the Market Data Area, Interest Curve Type, and Currency fields.
In Customizing for Bank Analyzer under Infrastructure -> Communication and Worklist Services -> Data Sources -> Primary Data Sources -> Edit Primary Data Sources create a general primary data source for currency exchange rates and interest curves that has the category Worklist and make the following settings:
- On the General Data tab page, select either the Currency Exchange Rates or Interest Curves server.
- On the Attributes tab page, enter the application.
- On the Characteristics and Key Figures tab pages, copy the characteristics and key figures that are to be transferred.
You can use the primary data source in Calculation and Valuation Process Managers (CVPM) for data provision for other applications.
