Use

In this IMG activity, you assign exchange rate categories to rate types.

You need to map one to the other if you want to update the exchange rates of an exchange rate category in the rate tables for cross-application currency conversion. You create the rate types for this in the section General Settings -> Currencies. If you do not make this assignment, the system will not update the exchange rates.

Only the middle rates are updated. If the rate category is "spreads," then rate spreads are also updated.

Requirements

You have defined at least one market data area in the IMG activity Create Market Data Area.

You have defined at least one exchange rate category in the IMG activity Define Exchange Rate Categories and Translation Ratios.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Select the market data area whose exchange rate categories you wish to assign.
  2. Enter the exchange rate category.
  3. Now assign the appropriate rate type or non-fixed rate type.
  4. Save your entries.
