Diagnosis

The system cannot find the document. The specified URL may be incorrect.

System Response

If the document is opened in display mode, the system tries to write-protect it. This is not possible in this case, but the document may nevertheless be opened in the browser.

Procedure

Check the document URL. Correct variations are:

\\<server name>\<directory>\....        e.g.: \\pc12345\...

<drive ID>:\<directory>\....            e.g.: C:\...

file://\\<server name>\<directory>\....    e.g.: file://\\pc12345\...

file://<drive ID>:\<directory>\....        e.g.: file://C:\...
