Diagnosis
The text contains all continuous texts in a Smart Form. Each continuous text starts with an identification line with the following form:
/E &Name&
,
whereby &Name& is the name of the text node in the Smart Form.
The corresponding continuous text follows the identification line. This continuous text is divided into lines. Each line starts with a two-character format specification, which can also be left blank, and a 72-character field for the text. A continuous text is specified in SAPscript notation (ITF format).
A continuous text can contain symbols (notation &symbol&) and character format specifications (notation <x>, <xy>, </>, <(> und <)>).
Note the following rules when translating a continuous text:
- Never change an identification line (see above). This includes deleting and adding identification lines.
- Copy the exact format specifications for the lines (two characters in first column). If you have to insert a new line because you need more space for the target text, leave the column for the format specification blank.
- Ensure that all symbols that appear in the source text also appear in the target text. Copy all character format specifications in the corresponding places in the target text (see above).
- Never change symbols or character format specifications.
- If you require more space for the target text than is available in the source text, simply insert new lines.
