TMS parameter MANAGED_SYSTEM is not set correctly for system &1

Diagnosis

The parameter MANAGED_SYSTEM is not set correctly in system . This parameter classifies the system as managed.

Procedure

  • If the managed system belongs to the same transport domain as the central CTS server, you can use the central CTS Configuration UI to set the missing TMS parameters (except for NON_ABAP_WBO_CLIENT). If you are not yet in the TMS Parameters dialog box, select the managed system and choose the link in the "TMS Parameters" column.
  • If the managed system does not belong to the same transport domain as the central CTS server, you cannot use the central CTS Configuration UI to set the TMS parameters. You can only display them there. To set them, you must go to the Transport Management System of the managed system. For more information on how to do this, read the specific messages for the individual TMS parameters in the "Status Details" view. If you are not yet in the "Status Details" view, select the managed system and choose "See Details" in the "Status" column.

Setting TMS parameter MANAGED_SYSTEM manually

  1. Log on to the Transport Domain Controller of the managed system.
  2. Call transaction STMS.
  3. Choose "System Overview".
  4. Select the required system by double-clicking on it.
  5. On the "Transport Tool" tab page, switch to change mode.
  6. As required, add or change the TMS parameter "MANAGED_SYSTEM" and assign the correct value as described below.
  7. Confirm the settings and distribute the TMS configuration.

Possible values for TMS parameter MANAGED_SYSTEM

  • TRUE: The system is managed centrally by the central CTS server.
    This is the default for managed systems.
  • PARTLY: The system is managed partially by the central CTS server. You can control imports both using the central CTS server and also using the local Transport Management System. You can use this value if you want to introduce central CTS step-by-step or for test purposes.

The default value is FALSE.
