Phonetic search not yet possible in client &1 (see long text)

Diagnosis

While creating or selecting a business partner, you chose a phonetic search. For you to be able to use this type of search, certain client-specific settings have to have been made. These settings were not made in the current client.

System Response

The system cannot perform a phonetic search.

Procedure

Ask your system administrator to set up the phonetic search. To create or select your business partner now, deselect the Phonetic Search indicator.

Procedure for System Administration

To set up phonetic searches, make the necessary technical settings in transaction BUS10 (choose Generate Selection). Also check the Customizing settings for Set Phonetic Search.
