Configurable material and configuration is missing

Diagnosis

The BOM of a configurable material cannot be exploded if no configuration data exists. For example, the material was not configured in the sales order or a technical problem exists where the system does not recognize and pass on the configuration data to the BOM explosion.

System Response

The system plans the material again in classic MRP.

Procedure

To avoid this situation in future where the material is planned twice, you should check the configuration of the sales orders.

Procedure for System Administration

Check whether a program error exists when transferring the configuration data to BOM explosion.
