Diagnosis

You are trying to change the configuration that was copied from the sales order or material master.

System Response

To ensure that the original configuration in the sales order or material master does not change, the characteristic value assignment is copied to the order item.

Procedure

You can now change characteristics without the original configuration being affected. To restore the order item's original configuration, choose Cancel.
