Diagnosis
You have called block selection mode and have selected the first line of the block.
System Response
Procedure
To select a block, you must click on the first line of the block and call the function Edit -> Select block. You must then repeat this process for the last line of the block. The lines included in the block are then shown on a colored background. You can then use the functions from the Edit menu to cut out or copy the block and paste it into another position.
If you wish to select a single line, you can use the function Edit -> Select/deselect.
