There are company codes with and without assignment to controlling areas.
Help Document
There are participating company codes that are not assigned to controlling areas. A merge of the controlling areas must be done, and you must analyze the company codes that are not assigned to controlling areas in order to determine if they must be adapted. We recommend that you contact SAP for support by creating a ticket using component CA-LT-CNV.
