Diagnosis
Copying chart of accounts into chart of accounts (same name!) does not make sense.
However if you merge a chart of accounts into an existing chart of accounts, you may want the accounts and cost elements from the existing target chart of accounts to take priority in merges.
To implement this requirement, proceed as follows:
- Create a mapping entry ->
- Set the Copy Rows indicator at central chart of accounts level
- Set the priority indicator for an account or cost element.
The system then recognizes this scenario as a mere priority scenario.
System Response
If the given scenario is a mere priority scenario and does not involve any changes within the chart of accounts itself, it is not allowed to enter participating company codes.
However the system found that you entered at least the company code in the mapping table, which is not allowed.
Procedure
Either change the mapping accordingly or delete the Copy Rows indicator at central chart of accounts level from the mapping table.
Further notes
Renaming accounts or cost elements is not allowed in a priority scenario.
