Diagnosis

You want to assign a revision level to a change made with reference to a change number.

System Response

Using settings in Customizing, the system determines the next available revision level within the defined sequence.

You see this message in one of the following situations:

  • No sequence has been defined for the revision levels for the material or document.
  • The changes to the chosen material or document have already been labelled with all the predefined revision levels.

Procedure

You cannot set a revision level for a change to a material or document until the revision level sequence has been created or extended.
