Characteristic commences with ID code and is part of the name range of the specification database.
You need to restrict the characteristic to class type 100 to ensure that there is no overlap versus other applications. The restriction ensures that the characteristic can only be used for the specification database.

On screen Characteristic Maintenance choose Goto -> Restrict class type and enter class type 100 in the next screen.
